About Abby Alexander, MS, LMFT-A

Abby Alexander is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapy Associate in Greenville, SC with over two years of experience working directly with clients. She earned her BA in Psychology from Furman University and her MS in Marriage and Family Therapy from Northwestern University.

Abby is interested in the stuff underneath the stuff. Abby’s work looks beyond what’s happening right now to understand the bigger picture: the relationships, family dynamics, experiences, and ways of coping that have shaped who you are today.

Her work is grounded in Bowen Family Systems, Internal Family Systems (IFS), Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), among other evidence-based approaches.

Abby works with adults and couples navigating anxiety, depression, disordered eating, relationship and attachment struggles, shame, self-esteem, people-pleasing, perfectionism, family-of-origin issues, boundaries, identity, emotional disconnection, recurring relationship patterns, intimacy concerns, stress, burnout, and major life transitions.
